Students must complete an online enrollment form which includes the Coivd-19 checklist.
Entry into the premises
Students must arrive to their lesson at their lesson time and are not permitted to wait in the building. Either wait outside or arrive at your lesson time and go straight in.
Parents are asked not to enter the building unless they have prearranged it with Anna. If you need to speak to a teacher or if you ave any queeries then please call/text/email Anna to arrange this. This will limit the amount of people entering the area and enable us to control the environment much easier.
Payment
Payment can be arranged online or an envelope can be sent in with your child to hand to our administrator on the first week of term. Payment via card payment or bank transfer is preferable where possible.
Sanitising
Students must use the hand sanitisers provided upon entering and exiting the building.
All students will be required to sanitise at the beginning and end of the lesson and the work space and instruments/music stands used will be sanitised by the teacher between each lesson. Each teacher will have a sanitising station in their rooms.
Masks/Face Coverings
Teachers will wear masks/visors at lessons where students are over the age of 13 or for under 13’s upon request of the parent or student. Please be sure to ask if this is your preference.
Vocal Coaches will wear visors and have screens.
Students over the age of 13 (or secondary school ages and over) must wear masks or visors while going to and from your lesson. We also encourage that students over the age of 13 taking piano, guitar or ukulele to also wear as mask for the duration of their lessons.
For lessons held in Firmount National School any students that are coming from outside of the school must wear masks to and from their lessons.
Other Covid-19 related rules
Students must use the bathroom before coming to classes, but if they do need to use the facilities, only one person at a time will be permitted to queue outside the bathroom
If your child travels abroad during the term, we respectfully ask that when they return to Ireland you keep them home from classes for 2 weeks.
Doors will be open and rooms will be aired throughout the day.
Specific health considerations (asthma, diabetes etc.) MUST be made known at registration and provisions are to be made as such.
Students must provide their own stationary (pens, pencils, erasers) for their music classes.
Social distancing will be adhered to in group classes where children are in 3rd class and above, and also where possible for younger groups.
Perspex screens will be in use for Vocal Coaching classes.
Symptoms
If a student displays symptoms of Covid-19 then you must not attend your lesson. A video content lesson or a live zoom lesson will be arrange for you during your allocated lesson time instead. You must let us know before 1:30 PM on the day of your lesson if you require a zoom lesson to be arranged instead of an in – person lesson.
If a teacher is not able to attend due to Covid-19 symptoms then the lessons will be offered either online or an alternative teacher will be provided
All of our teachers have completed a Covid-19 safety course, and we have a safety officer appointed and are up to date with guidelines for best practices regarding singing and instrument tuition.
Please note that in the event that there is another lockdown and classes have to cease in-person, the term will continue online as before. (except for Little Stars Musicianship Classes)
Enrollment for lessons requires a completed enrollment form. Although we schedule students in order of enrollment and make every effort to suit student preferences, scheduling of lessons will depend on available time slots with the most suitable teacher(s).
